Is your cat distressed?


Is your cat acting less excited than usual? Is she being a bit difficult or maybe eating less? Here are some common symptoms on whether your cat might be stressed or freaking out. It is common for a kitten to be a little freaked out when entering a new home but there are remedies for it. Here are some common signs to see if your cat is freaked out or not.

Urinating outside the litter box:

It is annoying and smelly to constantly clean up you cats urine outside of her box, but maybe they are trying to tell you something.

Digestive issues such as constipation or diarrhea:

Speak with your vet and see if it is stress or if it is something have ingested.

Excessive grooming:

If they are constantly grooming themselves such as licking their paws, this is a clear sign of distress. Skip the groomer and speak to your vet on what might be troubling them.

Isolation:

Being a little aloof sometimes is common nature to cats. however, if they are constantly hiding from everyone in the house then you may have an issue. If you can manage to bring her into a cat carrier, go to the vet.

Decrease in appetite

Cats do not go on diets, if your cat is not eating this is a serious indicator they are upset.

Aggression:

Was your cat really chill all the time but suddenly whenever she sees a dog or another person she goes ballistic? This might a serious sign on her distress or discomfort of some sort.
